A small tea party arranged at my place Houston . All ladies were together, some with kids.
We all played UNO . It is a awesome game for family and friends. I prepared snacks like Vegetable puff, juice,popcorn , Rasagulla sweet etc....

Everybody enjoyed that day. It was total fun together that evening. Without husband's we all ladies enjoyed together.

Pongal Celebration : Indian Festival

Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated by Tamils in the state of Tamil nadu in India.

The four day celebration of Pongal is held to honour the Sun ,for a plentiful harvest.


This time( 2011 ) i celebrated Pongal festival along with friends in Texas, Unites states .





We arranged a Ge-together party for pongal inside our community.
The main dish for this festival is Chakara Pongal and Ven pongal.
We prepared so many dishes for this party.

We prepared idili , vada, chakara pon gal, poori, sambar, ven pongal, chutney, biriyani, tamarind rice, curd rice, pickle, ven pongal, carrot halwa, Rasamalai, payasam.

Mehndhi - Can call this as Henna Tatto

Mehandhi : This is my hand. I applied.

Mehndhi is very famous in india. Indians ususally use this at the time of festivals and functions.

Mehndhi is temporary art done on the body with henna. Henna is formed from a plant . This plant leaves are harvested ,dried and then crushed to make a henna powder.

Henna powder is green in colour , but the stain it leaves will be in orange or red in colour.

This powder should mixed with lemon juice and some other chemical liquid and make it as a paste and then put it inside a cone and start design your hands.

After removing the henna, the hand colour changes like this orange red.

Somanathpur Temple in INDIA - - Greatest Archi!!!!!

Keshava temple is located in Somanathpur on the banks of the river Cauveri ,38km from Mysore, karnataka state in India. Last September i visited this place along with my family and friends. We really wonder about outer carving of this temple. The outer carvings are so different in shape and design.
Five sculptors carved around 194 images on the outer walls it seems.They used chisel and hammer.

This temple is a very old temple and believe that it was built by Somnath (army commander) in 1268 AD .(740 years ago)

They deliver the message through the carvings. They carved many different creatures like humans, animals, birds etc..

In this temple several elephants holding up the temple, but each and every one is different in poise and decorated with bells and chains.

This temple is truly unique in design.

Niagara .....

One of the greatest attraction for all the people is Niagara Falls. Its my luck i got a very great opportunity this year (sep 2010) to visit Niagara.

Niagara is a place where we admire a lot about the nature. I like the"Maid of the Mist"- Boat ride.

Wow!!!! Its excellent to see. Our two eyes is not enough to see the Niagara. I felt like that. Its beautiful,beautiful and beautiful.

Niagara falls got two views . one is from Unites States(New york) and other is from Canada (Ontario). The view from Canada is great !!!!!! Wonderful!!! Marvelous!!!!

Really a cool game for family and friends.

We can also play as a team 2,4 ,6 8,10 ,12 members can play this .

Using cards and colour coins we have to play this game.

Easy to play, anybody can play , very basic rule thats it.
